I worked in a corporate setting for 6+ years as senior customer facing data analyst. My job was to grow a multi-billion dollar portfolio through data driven results and client satisfaction. I threw myself into the world of being a service provider knowing it would be hard. I was losing a guaranteed paycheck and I had to learn how to make it on my own- I had to learn how to set myself a part. I worked as a PMU artist for 6 months on the weekends until I finally quit my job to tattoo full time in March of 2024.
From the moment I started doing PMU I sat at my corporate job every day researching what type of content brings in my ideal client- what even is my ideal client? How do I grow on social media? How do I run ads? A lot of it was trial and error. The same way I tried multiple different booking and POS systems before finding the one that I swear is the best.

The week I quit my corporate job I hit the ground running- and I never stopped. There is nothing I love more than the fulfillment I get from knowing all of this is mine. My knowledge, my hard work, my passion. Have things been easy? Absolutely not. Being an entrepreneur is content work especially when you are independent. However, having a strong foundation has made things easier in so many ways. It kills me to see so many artists, hair stylists. nail techs, etc struggling in so many areas of business that are so necessary when it comes to success. Which is what brought us both here, reading this.
